Peter tells us all about those mysterious ‘Numbers Stations’ on short wave.
My segment was inspired by many late, dark hours listening to my short wave radio when I lived in rural Victoria and there was not much else to do. I would tune around the shortwave bands and sometimes I would run across a numbers station. There is a very good book I can recommend called 'Tuning the Secret Shortwave Spectrum' by Harry M Helms which I have owned since before the internet which covers the topic well.
